The plan internally for MII is to officiall support NetWeaver 7.4 with MII 15.0 which is planned to go into Ramp-up in Mid-May of this year (Customer validation is planned ot start on April 1st). This MII release will also support usage of HANA as the underlying DB and is the foundation for our MII on HANA feature for this upcoming release and is complemented by a native HANA SDA interface to MII to retrieve data ondemand from MII into HANA Virtual tables.
Other notable MII 15.0 features include the following:
- HTML 5 UI Objects - Fully replace the applets for the UI
- The applets will not go away, but the focus for development will be on the HTML 5 objects
- Self-Service Composition Environment (SSCE) - Enable an end user to build their own reports or to define a layout and enable IT folks to further extend the reports via HTML & JavaScript
- Remote Administration & Configuration of Plant Connectivity (PCo) - Remotely configure and manage agents defined in one or many Plant Connectivity instances and push informaiton from the Plant Information Catalog into the trigger and notification payload definitions.
