When you open in the home page you are loading the link in an iframe. Most browsers will override the doc type of the iframe with the type of the parent window. Typically the MII portal has an older doc type Netweaver compatibility reasons. This can cause issues if your page is using functionality requiring a certain doc type. Are there any errors in you javascript console?
