Hello Mike,
I know this post has been sitting there for like 7 years but I was wondering if you can remember what the solution was.
I find myself having a similar issue where our MII box is on Linux and we need to read/write files to a shared folder in the network. We always went with FTP when we faced that situation but this time we are trying the solution Sam mentioned above but no luck so far.
Anyways, if you could share what your experience was I'd appreciate it.
