As already mentioned, its an iCommand applet. This issue is across various interfaces, hence we need a robust solution to this.

I had read somewhere that SAP_XMII_DynamicQuery role is auto assigned if I have developer role mapped to the user id. But as per your suggestion, I even tried by explicitly giving this role, but didn't make a difference 
Looking for some more pointers.
In the mean time we have opened a ticket with SAP.
