This is not a PCo issue, MII is issuing an Event Mode query to PI through PCo and PCo is just translating the MII query to PI specific requests. PI is returning the 4 events for the tag that you just wrote, as would be the expected response.
What value do you get if you use the Event Mode and change the rowcount to 1?
What value do you get if you execute a Current Value query?
